expertiseireland.com is an advanced on-line portal that combines in one searchable database up-to-date details of academic and commercial expertise, funding information, technology transfer and collaborative opportunities for the entire island of Ireland. This portal is driven by a powerful database populated directly from the knowledge management systems of the island's leading public and private sector research organisations, including the universities on the island. The development of expertiseireland.com is funded by InterTradeIreland and managed jointly with the Conference of Heads of Irish Universities.


Capabilities

This unique all-island portal, launched in July 2003, has been designed to facilitate the identification of expertise on the island, and will serve as the first point of contact with the island's knowledge capital. The information supplied through the portal is high quality, reliable and updated daily. By providing a single access point, expertiseireland.com helps encourage and facilitate industry-academic linkages. It will create enhanced collaborative opportunities and help the business and academic communities, here and further afield, tap into the world-class expertise and intellectual capital available on the island.
